MANAGING FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE

A TWO DAY COURSE

The aim of this programme is to provide a forum for participants to explore and develop the management skills necessary to create and maintain high performance teams in a sustainable way.  The course explores some of the established ideas behind effective performance and provides a practical environment in which to enable participants to share ideas and experiences and develop both their confidence and competence in the role.

OBJECTIVES:

On completion of this programme participants will be able to:
Create a Wiser Working environment
Understand the importance of effective leadership styles
Develop the team towards optimum and sustainable high performance
Understand what constitutes effective performance
Negotiate clear goals and objectives with their staff
Use coaching, meetings and appraisal as tools for development
Communicate effectively to encourage motivation and enthusiasm
Manage conflict in a team environment
Understand what motivates themselves and their staff
Delegate in order to empower others
Develop an understanding of how to retain their staff
Develop positive thinking skills
Prepare an action plan for implementation in the workplace

Objectives Training and Development was set up by Sylvia Vacher MA BA(Hons) MCIPD FAETC in 1989 to: “Provide training and development services, for both individuals and organisations, enabling them to identify and achieve their objectives in a positive, healthy and fulfilling way” Sylvia believes that the way to achieve this is by identifying and developing Sustainable Behaviours and encouraging Wiser Working at an individual, team and corporate level.
